Moon 2 (Луна-2) is the sixth unmanned probe of the Soviet Union's "Moon Project". It was launched on September 12, 1959. On September 14 of the same year, it crashed into the area of 0.0° east longitude and 31.8° north latitude of the moon at a speed of 3.3 kilometers per second, becoming the first artificial object to achieve a hard landing on the moon. [1-2], its radio communication device stopped working after the impact. The probe weighs 390.2 kg and carries a lunar soil structure detector and a solar X-ray detector [2-3]. The detection data was sent back to the lunar magnetic field and radiation belt data [1-2].
