Skylon - SSTO

The Skylon SSTO is an orbital class single stage to orbit space plane based on the Skylon currently under development in the UK.

The craft features hybrid rocket/jet engines and is capable of delivering cargo to orbit using a conventional runway for take-off and landing.

Take-off using jet engines and rotate at 130m/s.

Climb to 27,000m altitude then engage RCS for high altitude control.

Shut down jet engines and engage rockets to achieve orbital velocity.

Once desired orbit achieved deploy cargo/spacecraft.

Position craft using RCS and perform de-orbit burn and land on runway for re-fuel....
