AETHER-1 (Atmospheric & Exospheric Thermal Reconnaissance)

Mission Title: Project "Sky-Shield"
​The overarching goal is to quantify the Earth's Energy Budget. This is the process of measuring exactly how much solar energy enters our atmosphere versus how much heat escapes back into space.

Atmospheric Reconnaissance: "The Air We Breathe"
​The AETHER-9 uses its side-mounted multi-spectral sensors to perform Vertical Profiling.
​Chemical Fingerprinting: It identifies concentrations of greenhouse gases like Methane (CH4) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) at different altitudes, not just on the surface.
​Aerosol Tracking: It tracks volcanic ash, wildfire smoke, and industrial smog as they move across continents, helping to predict air quality health risks in real-time.
​2. Exospheric Reconnaissance: "The Border Patrol"
​The "Exospheric" part of its name refers to the outermost layer of our atmosphere.
​Solar Wind Interaction: The AETHER-9 monitors how solar radiation strips away trace amounts of our atmosphere into space.
