The Scimitar class of warship is a modern innovation invented by Commonwealth Engineers on Efridge. Scimitars lay in between a destroyer and cruiser, meant to have the speed, manueverability, mobility, evasivity, crew and near production cost of a destroyer, while having firepower comparable to that of a cruiser. Due to this, Scimitar class warships often use more Intergrated weaponary than turrets or bays. The Sellius Class Scimitar, designed and conceptualized on Sellius in 2183 with the first one rolling out in 2184, is a reliable and dangerous ship, often being sent in response to distress signals that specify hostile capital warships being used. This ship sports 2 Medium intergrated plasma bolt cannons, 1 primary Heavy plasma bolt cannon, 6 medium plasma turrets, 4 swarmer missile nests, 6 Disk mounted torpedo tubes and 12 uni barelled CIWS Turrets making it meant for heavy anti capital warfare, the Sellius class is amongst one of the most dangerous heavy capital warship hunting assets within the modern commonwealth navy for its size, hence making it be often employed in patrol fleet clearing operations, smuggler ambushes, capital warship ambushes, Shipyard sieges, station sieges, etc. These ships are often described as mosquitoes to survivors who have encountered them in large numbers, since they refuse to die and can cripple a ship easily.
