DuPont Aerospace's baseline entry for the single-stage to orbit (SSTO) National AeroSpaceplane (NASP) project developed in conjuction with NASA Langley Research Center. The configuration would later be adapted by Boeing. Early designs featured a rocket sled to counter poor takeoff performance and extend its payload capabilities. Tony DuPont's work envisioned this vehicle to be powered by a rocket/scramjet combined cycle engine and have a startlingly high payload fraction. Despite no one being able to reproduce his work, development continued.
This rendition reflects his vision and can achieve orbit carrying a 1000 ton payload. It is loaded by default with this payload.
To take off, activate and throttle up the turbojets, switch to the rocket sled command chip and activate AG 2. This will ignite the SRBs. Switch back to the X-30. The vehicle should perform the takeoff rotate without any input
