Tactics and Doctrine
The E-70A Magpie is a medium-altitude, long-endurance coastal AWACS platform designed to operate from DSC’s Main Aerodrome and coastal FOBs. The E-70 should be flown far behind the frontlines (at least 150km) to avoid being shot down, at mid-to-high altitudes (between 20,000 and 45,000ft) for good visibility over terrain and horizons.
The E-70 isnt intended solely for early warning and combat. Its a joint venture between the Air Guard, Navy and Coast Guard to track small sea vessels, larger warships and civil air traffic.

- Radar upgrade to AN/APY-4(V)1 — can’t see targets hiding behind terrain or riding missiles
- more QOL updates
- possibly folding wings?
Systems Information
AN/APY-4
The AN/APY-4 (or just APY-4) is a long-range UHF radar designed for air and surface tracks, able to track ground vehicles, surface ships, as far as 350km away. It’s relatively compact compared to most Rotodome systems we see already. Designed for coastal, close-to-water operations where corrosion damage may be prevalent, it’s surprisingly durable and reliable, especially for it’s weight class.
* Max Track Altitude: 30,000m/100,000ft
* Min Track Altitude: Surface Level
* Max Track Range: 350km (might be nerfed at some point)AN/ALR-55
The AN/ALR-55 (ALR-55) is a radar warning reciever (RWR) and missile approach warning system (MAW) plugged into the E-70. It will beep at 800hz when it detects an incoming threat within 75km.
2nd Generation Flight Control System
The 2nd Gen Flight Control System handles control of the aircraft, applying auto-trimming, auto throttle and rate limiting. not much else to say here. don't finger it unless absolutely needed.
Cautions, Warnings, and Notes
- Caution: Playing at low FPS (25 and below) can cause FCS instabilities.
- Note: you may need to use pitch trim to maintain altitude while cruising at altitudes. This is normal.
That's most of the important stuff. All AGs are labeled.
Happy Hunting, Squad!

@RokugouSystems didnt know brakes didnt work on other crafts, that explains a lot of things. the F-04 nearly didnt brake on the carrier although it has some of the most powerful brakes i could manage to put on it, it even can do stoppies sometimes, that plus engine reversal and the chute that somehow doesnt work as it should allow him to land on almost any place. but not in the carrier

@Livingg017 that would be cool. Although im not too sure about landing distance... it might need drag chutes like @AlphaSpacdTechnologies has on his C-300, especially since (at least to my knowledge) Landing gear brakes dont work when youre on another craft. You'll have to test that for yourself though since your carrier is extremely laggy for me 😭
If folding wings arent needed though, then thats cool! Just be sure to watch out for the tower on the deck lol. And honestly Id love to see a different livery on my aircraft ngl 🥹✌🏾 go haywire with any upgrades or changes you need -

i think folding wings wont be needed in my carrier. we have huuuge elevators and doors meant to fit the F-04 which somehow is bigger than this plane… what the hell

will it take off and land in 275-300m? if it can land problem solved just have to add rockets for takeoff. if you manage to make it work on my new carrier we could do a new update on the plane with Usrelian Navy's livery and mods for serving in my nation. wouldnt a collab be cool?

@Livingg017 go haywire. it already has good ground control thanks to differential brakes and split throttle, so it should be able to maneuver across the deck pretty freely.
canonically though, I wouldn't recommend increasing engine RPM. it's already operating right on the edge of the sound barrier, and any more will lead to many lawsuits from the deck crew for recklessness and unsafe aircraft operations.
you could also maybe add those folding wings I mentioned.
If anything just let me know! I'm more than happy to help lol -

any way i can modify it to function on my new aircraft carrier? maybe rocket boosters and heavy braking mods?

@BeaconIndustries sure! The aircraft isn't explicitly carrier capable at the moment due to the lack of folding wings and tailhooks, but its an update that I can certainly try to bring in the future with the E-70B. It already has seawater corrosion support and is run by the coast guard and navy, so its already about halfway there.
I just realized 95% of the aircrafts cost comes from a small part in the radar system... not sure why its so expensive, but if you wanna turn down it's price scale in the tinker panel, then go ahead lol. Its absolutely not supposed to cost over $50M.
By the way, ANNA is designed to work with everything around the force: fighter jets, attack helicopters, missiles, SAM sites... everything :0 -

@RokugouSystems I have asked AlphaSpaceTechnologies to make me an EWACS already buT this Is cool indeed. So it's carrier rated? May I buy a few if they not too costly?
