The Concept

A Glider is a fixed-wing aircraft that is supported in flight by the dynamic reaction of the air against its lifting surfaces, and whose free flight does not depend on an engine. Most gliders do not have an engine, although motor-gliders have small engines for extending their flight when necessary by sustaining the altitude.

The ratio of a glider is typically around 60:1, but in more common 15–18 meter span aircraft, glide ratios are between 38:1 and 52:1; high glide performance enabling long distance flight, with 3,000 kilometres (1,900 mi).


THE LIFT ENGINE

We're using propeller engine to gain early height.
Again this glider needs to gain height so that it can travel alot further. So, we have to keep propeller engine Propulsion on till we gain height and then we can turn ion Propulsion on and travel extreme distances.


ION PROPULSION

First ques. Why I am using Ion propulsion?
So ,as we assume that gliders does not need more thrust or more ISP like any other aircraft because the wingspan does all the work to manage lift and drag. So, all we need is to gain initial speed to gain lift and that's all. Then all work have to do just turn on Ion Engine ON and that's all.
The Fuel provided for Ion propulsion Is XENON to work for straight day or two.


Indicators and Control :

Full Velocity

This indicator indicate that the glider reached its maximum Velocity and thrust.

Grounded

This indicate if glider is grounded or not.

Ion Propulsion

Activation status of ion engine.

Low Vertical Velocity

When the vertical velocity is less than zero the indicator blinks with 400mhz beep sound. Also when it is moe than 40m/s.

Engine Active Status

Whether engine is on or off.

NOTE :

Do not take sharp turns. Switch Yaw slowly. Roll control have to do manually.
Do not .
