Bomber CCIP Mathematical Code

Meant for use in conjunction with Alpha Space Technologies' AGP guided bombs, to ensure maximum lethality.

All code handcrafted by Alpha Space Technologies. The code is contained in the command chip shown in the picture. There is a white battery pack, should you wish to add the vizzy code there or it can carry some battery power for the command chip

The vizzy code is a nifty plug-in meant to be fitted on any bomber or bomb carrying air vehicle. It uses a variant of the projectile motion formula to find the horizontal downrange your bombs will have, given your air vehicles speed, altitude, and Flight Path Angle (angle of your direction of travel relative to the horizon). It also uses the Haversine formula, a mathematical equation to find the great circle distance between two points on a planet, or between you, and the target.

This distance is especially crucial as it measures the horizontal distance between you and the target, traversing the surface, rather than finding the closest distance in PCI coordinates (which the distance from such can go through the planet)

Ideally, you want to drop your bombs when both Bomb Horizontal range and horizontal distance to target are the same, or a 1:1 ratio. Additionally, your bombs should produce as little drag as possible, as the calculations do not account for drag, and otherwise, the bombs will slow down and fall short.

IMPORTANT: If you do not insert this code in the 2nd Gen Fire control system, you must swap out "id_selected" variable for the target ID or similar variable of your choice. Not doing so will cause the formula to not register the target's location and break the formula.

id_selected is a variable used from my 2nd Gen Fire Control System, and I developed this code in the FCS, later taking it out to publish on its own.
