The Python A variant (AA-32A) is among the smallest of the radar guided missiles, being of comparable weight to many IR missiles. With a weight of only 108kg, however, this missile features extreme potential. It has a minimum range of 50km, and at high altitude, this can be stretched to around 150km. This is due to its aggressive loft and maneuvering algorithm, that allows it to come in from high arcs and strike the enemy below. This saves on precious energy and allows the missile to punch greatly above its weight class. It has proven reliable in tests, where it maintains a several to nil kill to miss ratio. At low altitudes, it is perfect for WVR combat, and performs sufficiently at BVR at high altitudes.
