The small craft are deployable with Drood tethers by crane, you can use the buttons on the cranes to control them.
Attachment points are marked for cranes and craft. These align with centre of gravity for correct attachment and detachment.
I would recommend attaching the tethers to the cranes and craft before releasing the docking ports.
Be advised, reattachment might take some patience! Usually it’s easiest to let the docking ports power up the magnets to 2000% to reattach.
Might add a helicopter in the future, just like my previous research vessel.

@TurbopropMasterB2A the activating the coloured buttons on the cranes moves them! When controlling a drood you can shoot a tether connecting two objects, I’m not sure controls on pc but on mobile it is the small grappling hook icon in the corner of the screen. Helicopter might take some time, they are usually pretty finicky to get right. (I want to build a bigger more practical one than my previous one.)
