This is a modification of my original hydrofoil, now capable of 156 m/s. The engines are set at maximum power, and the props are matched to the engines for best efficiency. This is still a mobile-friendly craft, and uses a fairly low tech level and parts count.
Most importantly, the Vizzy automatic ride control has been revised so the front wings react proportionally to height; i.e. small variations cause small control deflections and vice versa. It took me a long time to figure out what ended up being a very simple equation. This craft also uses my “throttle by wire” program to help turn the craft at low speeds.
This version of the boat uses several tweaks to compensate for the several tons of weight in the nose needed to balance the massive nose-up push the engines cause. I will release a non-tweaked version, Hydrofoil 2, so you can see just how much weight there is.
