SAB Swordfish Model.D

The SAB Swordfish is the first production VTOL fighter aircraft ever produced. The design was proposed after an attack on the South Kyrno homeland, triggering a response which lead to the accelerated development of the SKRs jet programs. The Swordfish model A is the export model of the aircraft, capable of carrying multiple guided weapons and light bomb loads. Due to the technology being in its infancy, the aircraft is difficult to take off and land, and requires training. Only experienced pilots are able to properly fly the aircraft. The aircraft is fitted with 4 short-rage air-to-air missiles and two 30mm autocannons in the nose. The aircraft is capable of reaching speeds of 1359 km/h, or mach 1.11.

The aircraft has been left unpainted so it is easier to add custom liveries.

HOW TO TAKE OFF:

~Throttle up to between 75-80%

~Use WQSE to balance the plane and A/D to shift the direction of the aircraft

~Press AG1 after rising 20-30m off of the ground and gradually increase throttle to 100%

~Press AG2 after reaching an altitude of 100m

~Press AG3 & 8 to disable the stability assist and properly enter forward flight

HOW TO LAND:

~Enter a low AoA approach towards the targeted landing area, hold brakes to activate airbrakes and reverse thrust

~Activate AG3 and AG2 when you reach 130-140m/s, still holding the brakes.

~Balance the plane on decent, holding the brake to slow the aircraft to a stop (on the horizontal axis, the VTOL engines are not linked to brakes)

~Flare throttle shortly before touchdown, then throttle off
