The James Webb Space Telescope is a joint infra-red observation space telescope developed by NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Canadian Space Agency. The successor to the Hubble Space Telescope was launched on an Ariane-5 rocket from the European Spaceport in French Guiana on December 25, 2021.
