This Agena stage was used in the Titan IIIB, Atlas and Thor rockets. This stage was specialized in all layers of the atmosphere and the vacuum. There is a resemblance to the Agena Target Vehicle due to that Agena-D is the base step from which Target Vehicle originated. This stage was quite large, almost 2 Agena-A's in size. Fun fact: This stage, with a few modifications (in real life), could even take off on its own.
