Model 247 "Kestrel"

The Model 247 Kestrel is a hypersonic, streamlined aerospace aircraft capable of atmospheric penetration and high-speed operations. It possesses a long, Arrowhead-like fuselage narrowing to a thin, pointed nose that qualifies it for flying at Mach 15+ with reduced aerodynamic drag. The body tapers toward the rear, making it stable enough for housing propulsions and guidance systems.

The surface of the vehicle is coated with Ta₄HfC₅ ultra-high-temperature ceramic and a thin SiC oxidation-resistant overcoat to allow it to withstand severe aerodynamic heating at hypersonic speeds. The nose tips and leading edges utilize thicker UHTC sections to survive the peak stagnation temperatures, and the fuselage employs a lighter 0.5 mm facing to strike a balance between thermal protection and mass efficiency.
