German V2 Rocket

The German V2 rocket was built during WW2 to help the axis power win the war. This rocket was made to avoid anti-air and flak unlike it’s relative, the V1 flying bomb. Able to go long distances and fly very high the V2 could hit its target without threatening the saftey of Germany. However, the rocket failed due to high price, the ever coming closer allies, and accuracy. It was later deemed unsuccessful and the project was dropped all together. Even though it may have failed it brought much knowledge to space travel and the evolution of spacecraft. Infact it helped with the famous rocket Friendship 7 that took Jhon Glenn to orbit.
