DESCRIPTION:
After the successful Space Shuttle program, the United States of America decided to bring space exploration to another level. Meet the cutting edge USS AURORA Space Shuttle: a modernised spacecraft which can endure longer interplanetary journeys. Thanks to its enlarged fuel tanks and its rechargable batteries, it can withstand insanely long distances whitout depleting its reserves of propellant. Its vast cargo bay allows huge payloads to be brought into space effortlessly. It features extremely powerful full flow staged engines to allow short vertical takeoffs and rapid movements. NASA opted for a versatile, multipurpose, crewed spacecraft in order to allow faster trasportation and implement higher standards of technology. THE FUTURE IS NOW.
FUNCTIONS:
-NAV Lights and working landing gears.
-Airlock to allow astronauts go EVA.
-Interactive cockpit with working instruments.
-Solar Panels and RSCs to respectively recharge batteries and manouver the ship.
-Huge cargo bay to send your contraptions into space easier.
-Huge insulated heatshield to protect the craft.
-Airbrakes to help you slow down during descent.
-VTOL Engines for short vertical takeoffs and powerfull Eleven Main Engines to experiment insane accelerations.
TAKEOFF:
-Open Activation Panel
-Activate "VTOL Engines" and set the trhottle to around 25% until reaching around 2500 meters of altitude
-Retract "Landing Gears"
-Deactivate "VTOL Engines" and activate "Main Upper Engines" and "Main Lower Engines" and reduce the throttle to not more than 10% (Do not exceed 10% or else the ship might detonate due to heat damage)
-Tilt the spaceship of around 45-50 degrees and use the black insulated heat shield to glide out of the atmosphere.
-Once reached 70.000 meters, unleash the true engine power and settle throttle to 100%
EXCESSIVE THRUST AND/OR WRONG HEAT SHIELD TILTING MIGHT LEAD TO CRITICAL FAILURE AND SUBSEQUNTLY DETONATION!
ONLY THE BLACK INSULATED BELLY AND PART OF THE NOSE ARE THERMORESISTANT AND CAN BE USED AS AN HEAT SHIELD!
ORBITING:
-Use Main Engines to orbit around Earth and then turn off "RSCs" in order to avoid eventual deorbiting
REENTRY:
-Once in the planet sphere of influence, slow down to reasonable speeds (around 2000 m/s at 50000 m of altitude)
-Slow down until the trajectory is PERPENDICULAR to the ground and shut off both "Main Engines"
-Activate "VTOL Engines" and deploy "Landing Gears"
-Proceed to slow down until landing
Although some mods have been used in order to build the ship, NO MODS ARE REQUIRED to use it.

Also i felt like the aerodynamics were lacking although it was somewhat alleviated by the VTOL engines
