YKJ-1000 Hypersonic Missile

The YKJ-1000 is a hypersonic missile developed by China's Sichuan Lingkong Tianxing Technology Co., Ltd. It was officially launched on November 25, 2025. With a range of 500-1,300 kilometers and a flight speed of Mach 5-7, the missile boasts a powered cruise time of 360 seconds. It is deployed via land-based launch vehicles and is specifically designed for precision strikes against maritime mobile platforms and various types of vessels.
Key features include a composite design combining rocket boosters with a wave-rider gliding warhead, autonomous target recognition, and threat evasion capabilities, achieving meter-level accuracy in terminal attacks. By innovatively adopting commercial-grade components (such as automotive-grade chips and modified civilian cameras) and industrial production techniques (e.g., die-casting technology), its cost has been drastically reduced to one-tenth of traditional solutions, with an estimated unit cost of around 700,000 RMB, enabling low-cost mass production of high-end equipment.
The basic variant of the missile is already in mass production, while an intelligent variant integrated with AI decision-making and swarm coordination capabilities is still under development. The deployment of the YKJ-1000 is regarded as an achievement of China's military-civil fusion strategy and is expected to impact regional defense dynamics.
