The Retriever is one of the first serious Moon rocket designs. Created in the mid 1950's by Wernher Von Braun to orbit and survey the Moon. It was meant to be launched from Earth orbit (* Not this time). It has a crew of 4 for a couple weeks. The "bottle suit" is only for show and non-functional.

The rocket is a neat bit of rocket history.

This craft has 2 stages (once released from the booster) with only the external 7 fuel tanks being discarded. As the craft was designed to be launched in space it is best to launch from Luna. It will liftoff from Luna. For best fuel usage: set all external tanks to "drain" and the central take to "fill" (Also all of the central body is fuel to be drained).

Walt Disney was a big space fan and help Wernher promote his vision of space. Look up videos on the RM-1 rocket ship and enjoy. Also there photos of Wernher posing with a large model online, just use this title in the search box.
