Description:

This is a replica of the Lego T-16 Skyhopper from the Star Wars Episode IV (A New Hope) collection. If you like this, also check out my other Lego creations.

Features:
  • This craft introduces a new Vizzy script - SURFACE MODE. Using this mode, you can fly the craft just like in the movies. Using active hover and side slip control, the craft will respond to your commands seamlessly.
  • Activation Groups for surface mode, wings, interior and exterior lighting, and a cockpit camera quick link

Instructions:
  • Here is a short video showing the craft in action. Pretty straightforward operation; just press AG1 to activate surface mode, then it's standard controls to yaw, pitch, and roll. Don't turn off autopilot!!!

Disclaimers:
  • I have used tinker panel mainly to improve physics (disabling drag and collisions on all of the exterior studs) and get the CoM just right without messing with the Lego structure.
  • To make this a functional craft I had to include fuel reservoirs and gyroscope using size and mass scaling.

Thank you! I’m glad the Vizzy works for you. I’ve been known to mess it up before.

@Gozinya I have the same situation but I'm trying to create something through the lags (if I'm playing with an android and not the most powerful one)

Thanks! Yeah, I’ve been working on it off and on since we worked together. I cheated with the ion engines, but it makes such a smooth hovercraft that is true to the Star Wars style.

You can use the program for other crafts, but it’s important you set up the engines correctly with the right inputs. Some of the instructions are in the program.

Give it a shot and let me know if any issues. My upcoming builds all use the same program with adjustments depending on specs (e.g. top speed).

I’m also working on a warp program. Get excited.

I’m limited right now to about 1,000 parts because I’m only working on an iPhone and it crashes if I go much higher. I want to make a full scale millennium falcon and star destroyer with interiors, but sadly that is out of reach.

That’s my plan! I asked someone to create some of the Star Wars planets (I only have the game on iOS, so no planet studio).

@Gozinya I agree it looks impressive (by the way are you planning any big projects in the Lego style?)
