HAI FA-5AV (F3H-G Concept)

Following economic decline and a weaning confidence in the nation's ability to defend itself, engineers at HAI conceptualized and built their most advanced fighter-interceptor their technology could afford to wade off attacks from the newly revealed supersonic bombers of other neighboring nations. The threat of nuclear war was higher than ever, and the threat of destruction pulled enough legislative collaboration to sink funds in what would become the FA-5. While the airframe was of impressive quality at the time, the aircrafts first variants lacked a significant amount of engine power, radar capability, and avionics. Despite this, the aircraft was fielded just a few years after its first flight. Less than 100 were built before political reform killed the production of future aircraft.
