When the first ejector seats were created, any pilot who had the unfortunate emergency on the ground requiring ejection knew they would suffer immense injuries, some of which proved fatal. The parachute opens from air hitting it, so ejecting off a taxiway, for instance, never got enough air into the chute to open it fully before the pilot impacted concrete. The ejector seat manufacturers had to create a seat that would get the pilot high enough to fully open the chute. They made the zero-zero seat, meaning 0 knots and 0 altitude. This was achieved by taking a regular ejector seat and mounting a rocket pack under the seat.

If you care about your Droonauts, the zero-zero seat is sure to leave them with 2 broken legs but atleast they will survive. Sending them about 180 meters above their stricken craft before lowering them to the ground at a relatively safe 8m/s should save their life. In addition, the zero-zero seat also makes sure they land clear. The interstage behind the seat is the attachment point to the aircraft. A simple vizzy script detaches the seat from the aircraft then fires the rockets. As you are free to use a switch or AG, I've just put a time delay for simulation purpose. You will have to modify the vizzy for the method of ejection.

Update: I had to rush the testing and publishing phase due to my work. Drood gets killed if landing on concrete. Please increase parachute size to 3m and you will need to slightly move rockets backwards (z axis) to compensate for extra weight of chute. It then works as it should.
