Conceptualized as the sucessor to the SR-71 Blackbird, the SR-91 Aurora was designed to break the very limits of what a jet is capable of. This plane features 4 powerful ramjets and 4 impressive high speed scramjets. This aircraft will efforlessly reach mach 4 once all engines have been activated at 20km, and reach mach 6 within the next half hour. If you have the time to spare and the patience, you can take this plane to a speed of mach 9.7 at an altitude of 58km!

@SelectAKey The compression ratio makes a small difference, the bypass ratio makes a slightly bigger difference. But that makes the greatest difference is the size and mass. To put it simply, I made the engine bigger and then shrunk it in the tinker pannel so I could make small engines that have a lot of power.

@SelectAKey I set the jet size to 300, the bypass ratio to 0, and the compression to 30. Then I shrunk down the engines to 10% scale in the tinker panel, 0% mass, and 0% drag. Regular jet engines would not give the SR-91 the performance it has.

This is the greatest hypersonic vehicle I have ever flown in this game. This was my first plane I used to circumnavigate and do a full round flight around Droo. Truly a one-of-a-kind plane. And unlike most of my hypersonic aircraft’s. I’m successfully actually able to have this make it back to the runway in one piece. Most of the hypersonic aircraft like almost every dark star on this site usually just goes either too fast they get they go so fast as to get to escape velocity. But this one is also just able to maintain hypersonic velocity. The highest I’ve been able to sustainably fly. This thing is at 40,000 m.
