You can't place stuff on one side of it but that is on one of the sides. It won't let you connect stuff there.
This is not really unlimited but I had some problems manually editing it again like I did while the game was in beta.
Anyways this is a LOT of fuel and it is also 0 mass. (remember to allow fuel lines otherwise it won't work.
You can try this by putting the fuel on the bottom and then the engine!
