Older refit medium transport, mostly used for personel transport and resupply (4 crew 10 passengers) to and from the colonies (due to lower cost). Ship is still very capable of delivering cargo (respectable cargo bay can do 3 GNSS sat missions in one go). Older ship that doesn’t have all the automation of the ARTEMIS; this puppy is all manual flying. As with all Colonizing Worlds builds it’s usable in vanilla career mode.

Retro-Fit shuttle from older STAR-X tech:
-jet engines and older plasma engines replaced with GEN-2 ARTEMIS engines.
-plasma engine thrust reverser added to slow her down on landings.
-airframe has been upgraded with greatly improved heat resistance.
-Half the old mass due to no jetfuel (improved maneuverability)
-capable of Mach 5 at 10,000 m in Droo atmosphere.
-VTOL landings/Takeoff or as a Jet

Action Groups:
AG1 - main engines/thrust reverser on/off
AG2 - planet scanner on/off (gives info on targeted body)
AG3 - RCS on/off
AG4 - cargo bay door open/close
AG5 - internal doors open/close
AG6 - exterior lights
AG7 - cabin/interior/cargo bay lights
AG8 - landing gear extend/retract
AG9 - midship airlock and docking collar extend/retract
AG10 - Level assist on/off
AG11 - VTOL (vertical trusters) on/off
AG12 - hover assist (hold altitude) on/off

Controls:
-Pitch/roll/yaw - as default
-Translate up - move forward/reverse (VTOL)
-Translate right - move left/right (VTOL)
-Translate right on left side (aka EVA turn) - turn ship left/right (VTOL)
-Throttle - main engines
-Slider 1 - VTOL vertical thrust plasma drive throttle
-Slider 2 - thrust reverser power
-Slider 3 - camera zoom
-Break - wheel breaks

Flying Tips:
-thrust reverser is independent of the main engines, so make sure throttle is at zero % if attempting to slow down.

-when using the shuttle as a jet, you can have heading locked or unlocked (will work either way). Make sure AG10 level assist is turned off as the auto leveler will make turning difficult. In most cases when flying like a jet you will want AG11 and AG 12 also off.

-when in VTOL mode AG12 hover assist is very useful as it attempts to hold current altitude. You can still change altitude with hover assist active by manually changing slider 1. AG 10 level assist will keep the wings and nose level. So when in VTOL, action groups 10, 11, 12 should be on in most situations.

-flying in space can be accomplished exactly like a rocket, use heading locks and make sure Vertical trusters (VTOL) are off.

-when doing a task such as docking use RCS as normal, however you can also use VTOL mode (RCS must be turned off), make sure the level assist and hover assist (AG 10, AG 12) are turned off. Note that VTOL translation controls are different than normal RCS controls (see above controls). Also be careful as the VTOL thrusters are 100 times more powerful then RCS thrusters.

-when flying on Sergeea don’t exceed 200m/s untill over 50,000 m, or the wings could fail due to drag stress.
