Built as a learning experience, this rocket's goal was to put 3 astronauts in orbit and do flybys of near celestial bodies. It exceeded my expectations.

Info The Manned II [001] is an expendable, heavy-lift rocket developed by Bagel Rocket Co. The crew version is listed here, featuring basic docking ability and an automatic launch abort system. Future modifications will allow 100,000 lbs of cargo to be boosted to Low Droo Orbit as opposed to a crewed module.

Staging It is worth noting that several stages of the rocket deploy themselves. On launch, the solid rocket boosters will automatically detach once their fuel is depleted. Higher in altitude, the protective fairings and launch abort system will detach by itself (@ 59500 M ASL). In orbit, hang onto the second core stage, it should have ~1600 m/s Delta-V left.

Abort System The launch abort system will activate if any part of the rocket explodes at an altitude less than or equal to 60000 M ASL. The capsule detaches, 4 solid rocket motors ignite, and in a short period of time later it's over 3 miles away from the main rocket. This system can manually be activated at any altitude with AG2.
