Face the fighter to the target, launch the missile when the distance from the target is less than 25km, and then the missile will automatically lock the front target.
You can also install the missile on your own craft, but you have to solve the missile launch problem again.

Very interesting it seems you have to make your own input controls man i wish non-player craft were supported so we could make missiles easily
