The Delta II was operated for almost 30 years as a medium-lift launch vehicle before retiring in September of 2018. The Delta II launched iconic payloads such as the Spirit and Opportunity rovers, the Mars Climate Orbiter, the Dawn spacecraft, and the ill-fated Mars Polar Lander.
This is a scaled reproduction of a Delta II in a 7925H configuration. Contents Include: 1 first stage booster, 9 GEM-46 SRMs (6ground-lit, 3 air-lit), 1 upper stage with my best apporximation of an AJ-10-118K pressure fed engine, and a Thiokol Star-48 kick stage mounted on a functional spin table.
Special Controls:
-Upper Stage RCS is OFF by default, but can be enabled by pressing "0".
-The spin table is powered by a secondary RCS. To activate, press "8". Then press "E" to start spinning up the kick stage. After about 3 full seconds, the kick stage will have a sufficent RPM and can then be activated. NOTE: I reccomend switiching the main upper stage RCS to "OFF" before activating the spin table.
