Ares-V with MMV

Ares V is an important part of NASA's cancelled Constellation Project. In the constellation plan, NASA will not only return manned to the moon, but also land manned on Mars.
The Mars landing plan consists of three parts. Firstly, MMV (Manned Mars Carrier, which is used to launch people from Mars to low Mars orbit), MRS (Mars Residence System, where astronauts live on Mars) and MSS (Mars Scientific Research System, which is used for Mars scientific research) are launched on Mars. Then, a small space station, Mars lander, fuel tanks and engines for going to Mars and returning to Earth were launched into low Earth orbit by two Ares V and assembled. Finally, Ares I was launched to send astronauts to the space station and then to Mars.
On Mars, astronauts landed in MMV, MRS and MSS by lander, and carried out scientific research activities while waiting for the next launch opportunity from Mars to Earth. When the launch day comes, MMV sends astronauts to the space station in Mars orbit (the space station will run there until they come back), then the engine is ignited and the space station returns to Earth.
