Warm Reminder
The shells fired by this tank use PETN as the explosive, which is very powerful, so please fire at a safe distance of 80 meters. If the distance is too close, it will destroy itself.

historical background
Developed during the early Cold War era by Britain in the 1950s, the FV4005 was an experimental tank destroyer designed to counter Soviet heavy tanks like the T-54/T-55 series12. Based on the Centurion tank chassis, it featured a massive 183mm L4 gun (modified from the BL 7.2-inch howitzer) to penetrate heavily armored targets12. The Stage II variant weighed 50 tons, equipped with a 640-horsepower Meteor MK.IVB engine, achieving a power-to-weight ratio of 12.75 hp/t and a top speed of 34.6 km/h23.
However, the project faced critical technical challenges, including excessive recoil forces destabilizing the chassis and a bulky autoloader mechanism incompatible with the turret design12. Despite attempts to integrate a rotating turret and automated loading system, logistical impracticalities—such as manual handling of oversized ammunition—led to its cancellation in 195524. The prototypes were ultimately dismantled, leaving the FV4005 as a notable yet unrealized Cold War experiment25.
Performance data
Basic Specifications
Weight: 50 tons, based on the Centurion tank chassis12.
Engine: 640-horsepower Meteor MK.IVB engine, power-to-weight ratio of 12.75 hp/t12.
Mobility: Maximum speed 34.6 km/h; hull traverse speed 39.06 degrees/sec13.
Firepower
Main Gun: 183mm L4 cannon (modified from BL 7.2-inch howitzer), caliber 182.9mm15.
Ammunition: HESH shell with 230mm average penetration; AP shell with 310mm penetration and 1,150 damage per shot5.
Turret: Semi-enclosed rotating turret with -10° gun depression and 180° traverse, but poor gun handling (0.30/0.32/0.32 dispersion)5.
Defense & Survivability
Armor: Thinly armored hull and oversized turret vulnerable to HE shells5.
Hit Points: 1,850 HP (game setting), with extremely low survivability in combat5.
Technical Flaws
Loading Issues: Oversized shells (1.2m long, 72.6kg weight) made manual loading impractical, while autoloaders failed to integrate with the turret12.
Stability: Excessive recoil destabilized the vehicle during firing25.
