The Spitfire Mk.V is an excellent low altitude fighter. Boasting excellent maneuverability at the cost of range, the Spitfire was the hero of the Battle of Britain and is often considered to be one of the most recognizable aircraft of all time. The Mk. Vb famously replaced two of its 8 .30cal browning machine guns for two hispano 20mm cannons, greatly increasing its firepower against fighter and bomber aircraft.
