newest update fixed the flight model, craft works now, remember, AG 8 for vertical flight, AG 7 and 10 for horizontal flight.

The N-1 starfighter, also called the Naboo starfighter, was a single-seat patrol craft developed by the Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps and used by the Royal Naboo Security Forces for duties such as defense, patrol, and escorting.

CONTROLS

  • AG 2: Canopy
  • AG 3: Lights
  • AG 8: Landing Mode
  • AG 10: Flight module
  • Slider 1: trim

FLIGHT NOTES

  • This craft can fly in the vacuum of space as if it was still in atmosphere.
  • Deactivating AG 10 will make the craft behave as it should in the vacuum. If you want to fly it like any other rocket, deactivate 10. When calculating auto burns and time warping, AG 10 must be deactivated.
  • This craft cannot be flown from astronaut control. When reentering the cockpit and switching back to the command pod after going EVA, deactivate all AG's then reactivate 8 to reset the flight module and ready it for another flight.
  • If the craft begins pitching up wildly, use slider 1 to trim it out. (this works in space as well)

CREDITS

  • I cannot thank @s5ehfr9 enough for both providing the revolutionary flight model and helping me iron out bugs in the build process, this would not be possible if not for them.

And also I’m going to add a warp module to it

@117 Torque produced from thrust not pointing to CoM in a feedback loop.

Wow this is sick! I can finally make all my star wars builds actually work :)

@s5ehfr9 also, what causes the high speed oscillation in space?

@s5ehfr9 that worked perfectly, thanks! The module was aligned horizontally with the CoM, but wasn't aligned vertically

@117 try to align the module with the center of mass.

@s5ehfr9 any chance you would know what might cause this flight module to roll when I only input yaw? I built a new fighter and successfully integrated the module into it, only problem is when I yaw, the craft rolls.

@XionmassResearchDevt it is ion engines, they allow the craft to change momentum and direction in space, while a gyroscope handles orientation. It isn't perfect yet, as many times it likes to not work both when controlling the ship with the astronaut, or when you retake control of the ship after going EVA. I did get it to be functional with the trim though.

@hehezty ion engines . Probably modded. And seen this before, they face all four directions. It's like a alt hold , something within game let's it... This is all speculation tho

What the heck? That's pretty cool . More to reverse engineering 😂... I'll figure out this levitation thing eventually lol
