Constructed at the Lunar Equatorial Shipyard, this class of ship was never intended to fly in an atmosphere.
The Normandy is one of the heaviest warships in the Droo Space Navy. Propelled by 13 Nerva-derived engines, this massive warship remains nearly as nimble as a destroyer. With 16 missile pods and 20 PDS cannon clusters, the Normandy can defend against a volley of incoming weapons and stay in the fight. 16 VLS stations located radially can bring enough firepower to drive off or destroy a task force singlehandedly. When operating with escort vessels, the Normandy task force is nearly unstoppable.
Immensely expensive to construct and deploy, and requiring a crew of 91, the Normandy battlecruiser is as costly as it is devastating.
