STS-1 Space Shuttle Columbia: America's First Space Shuttle (V4)
Introducing the first example of the future fleet of the newly reworked Seraku Space Shuttles for Juno New Origins. Newly-reworked from the ground up, now better than ever.
The first to roll out on this release is STS-1: America's First Space Shuttle. OV-102 Columbia. Now even better than ever this time of year!! Rolling out in light of the 43rd Anniversary of Shuttle Columbia's Maiden Flight on STS-1 in April 12, 1981.
History ("The Real Deal")
STS-1 (Space Transportation System-1) was the first orbital spaceflight of NASA's Space Shuttle program. The first orbiter, Columbia, launched on April 12, 1981, and returned on April 14, 1981, 54.5 hours later, having orbited the Earth 37 times. Columbia carried a crew of two—mission commander John W. Young and pilot Robert L. Crippen. It was the first American crewed space flight since the Apollo–Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) in 1975. STS-1 was also the maiden test flight of a new American spacecraft to carry a crew, though it was preceded by atmospheric testing (ALT) of the orbiter and ground testing of the Space Shuttle system.
The launch occurred on the 20th anniversary of Vostok 1, the first human spaceflight, performed by Yuri Gagarin for the USSR. This was a coincidence rather than a celebration of the anniversary; a technical problem had prevented STS-1 from launching two days earlier, as was planned.
New Features!
-Simplistically detailed External Tank and SRB Stack
-Realistic Control Surfaces (remapped as stage activation after reentry instead of being in Action group)
-New Vertical Stabilizer derived from the AASA Shuttle Orbiter
-Payload Bay Doors improved with more IRL opening angles
-New Body Flap Trail made by me
-New OMS Fuel Dump Valve parts made by KirRu
Instructions to prep the shuttle before launch.
-Use Slider 1 and Staging to retract the "beanie" cap. Slide it down 1 at -80%.
-Use Slider 1 and AG7 to retract the crew access arm. Slide it down 1 at -80% as well.
Shuttle was based from the Discovery Space Shuttle Ver2.1 Shuttle Craft
Special Thanks to:
-KirRu for the new OMS Fuel Dump Valve parts
-Zakithenoob and Soyuzfairings500 for making the detailed STS-1 ET and SRB Stack and tuning/tweaking on the SRB and Shuttle engine data so they can be both for RSS or Stock Systems.
Required Prerequisites (For PC players): MarioG's Modular Launch Pads Mod
Credits:
-LockSource for the Shuttle Launch Pad and Misc Shuttle Payload parts.
-MisatoKatsuragi for the Vertical Stabilizer
-And Seraku for the original shuttle craft.

Coming back after a bit of testing (using rss this time lol) The things I see wrong are that the boosters and OMS give a bit too much acceleration, as well as the OMS having too much fuel. Really amazing with Modular Pads installed though.

@keru91239 RSS is basically "Real Solar System" or simply known as "Solar System", a planetary system made by Hyperpatch and others with real world planets and scale.

@SCF01STS202Vanguard Ah, thanks. What RSS is used by the way? There appear to be a few RSS mods.
-
@keru91239 as of this time, Zaki and I are working to optimize the shuttles for v1.3, with the optimization of the SRB Staging and adjusting paramaters for the SSMEs, but keep in mind this craft was meant to be used for RSS and not stock system.
But there is a new fleet pack planned. One that can be tailor-made for the stock Juno System with stock system-friendly fuel consumption, engine data, parameters, etc. No promises, but once we're all systems go with the RSS version of the shuttle fleet packs, we will then make a new one from scratch so users can use it for the stock system.

Really amazing although it seems to have a bit of an acceleration problem, it can literally almost get to the moon💀

@MrPolandRC for the time being, disable heat and physical damage sliders. I'm doing diagnostics on trying to iron out some issues.
