This is probably my final version of this aircraft. In this update I have added the EICAS in the top left MFD. The layout of MFD’s is now:
- Top left: EICAS
- Top right: PFD
- Bottom left: Default MFD
- Bottom right: ECAM
- Two small MFD’s on the left side: Timer from start in minutes and map.
The following features are integrated in these MFD’s:
PFD:
- Speed indicator (Knots)
- Max speed indicator (Below 10000 ft 250 knots)
- Altitude indicator (Feet)
- Radio altimeter (Operative at and below 3000 feet AGL)
- Vertical speed indicator (Feet per minute, warning triggered at -20000 fpm)
- Heading indicator
- Bank angle indicator
- Landing gear indicator
- Flaps indicator (Slider 1, 4 increments)
- Canopy warning
ECAM:
- Throttle lever indicator
- Speed restriction indicator
- Master warning indicator
- Engine status indicator
- Landing gear indicatoe
- Flaps indicator
- Remaining fuel in minutes indicator
EICAS:
- Air temperature indicator (Celsius)
- N1 indicators (Indicates thrust)
- EGT indicator (indicates engine temperature)
- Throttle lever indicator
- Maximum N1 indicator
- Fuel indicator (lbs)
- Remaining fuel in minutes indicator
- Brake application indicator
Action groups:
- AG 1: Engine
- AG 2: Canopy
- AG 4: Dismiss master warning
- AG 6: Autobrake (inop. if controlling from astronaut)
- AG 7: Auto takeoff (inop. if controlling from astronaut)
- AG 8: Landing gear
Other controls:
Pitch, roll, yaw and throttle all regular controls.
Slider 1 for flaps.
This craft is made to be experienced from the pilot’s perspective.
I am aware that there is only one engine, however I like the look of the gauges better if there are two engines.
Please give me feedback! You can use my instruments in your posts if you provide some credit.
One more thing - Recommended takeoff setup is:
- Flaps 50%, Throttle lever 50%. Rotate speed is around 130 knots.
Recommended landing setup is:
- Flaps 50-100%, speed 175-200 knots.
