Most of you kwo now about our new program Hyperion. Hyperion will be a medium-heavy lift launch vehicle built similar to ULA launch vehicles but with the speed and ingenuity of private industry. Our maiden flight of Hyperion, dubbed HFT-1(Hyperion Flight Test 1), is upcoming, happening NET June 19. Now, Orion Technologies has spent much more time and money on developing Hyperion than its other launch vehicles, mostly due to it being a foundational part of our future plans. This means that we can guarantee a higher chance of success. So, we will again turn to the community. What satellite do you need launched? What lander or orbiter do you want sent into the cosmos? On behalf of Orion Technologies, I would greatly appreciate any satellite/orbiter/lander, even rover submitted. We have left Hyperion's profile open for the first mission. Its maiden flight will use the shorter fairing and only 2 SRBs. Specifications will be given below. Hyperion will be launched out of Kennedy Space Center SLC-40 on its first flight. Anyways, any orbital slot/inclination is available(except for LEO), and any destination, ranging from the Moon, to Mars is also possible on Hyperion. Rideshare is an option as well if multiple companies are interested in this opportunity. In all, we would love to have your payload aboard HFT-1, and will provide this launch opportunity at no cost and do our best to ensure success.
Specifications
Hyperion’s payload capacity in the HFT-1 configuration to MEO, GTO, GEO, TLI, and TMI are as follows: 6,500lbs, 14,250lbs, 4,500lbs, 10,700lbs, and 5,600lbs. This mission will use the 45ft tall PLF, with the standard diameter of 18ft.
Whoever summits a payload will get to name the mission(HFT-1–>_), get their company’s logo on the PLF, and will be mentioned as a contributor to the Hyperion Program. We look forward to collaborating with you on this project! Enjoy!
