Meet the Snowball, OSAS' first shot at an unmanned rover (which is kind of weird how it's the first considering the things I've done already). Its main goal is to investigate the surface of Cylero to look for possible signs of life and also study the planet's weather and geology.
The rover is equipped with powerful cameras that can analyze the composition of rocks and a drill to collect samples for later research. Snowball is also packed with redundant power-generation methods to ensure its mission is complete.

CONTROLS

All action groups are labled
The rover's functions will only work if AG 11 is activated

  • Pitch (foward/backwards)
  • Yaw (turn left/right)
  • Roll (rotate the main camera)

FEATURES

I tried making this with multiple functions, so it's a bit more fun to drive around. Its features include:

  • Multiple camera angles

    • Main camera (rotate using roll)
    • HazCam
    • 1 camera on each side showing the wheels
  • Folding solar panels

  • A "working" drill (it moves automatically and displays text, but that's it. Tho if you want, feel free to put a code on it to make it actually "drill" stuff)
  • A rocker-bogie suspension (that I'm not sure if it's 100% right, but it works)

Lastly, be careful on the brakes if the rover is going too fast in reverse, it could tumble over

This was sugested by JACKIEAEROSPACEINDUSTRIES. If you got any sugestion and i like the ideia (and remember to actually do it) i may do it.
As always, if you like the rover please upvote and comment, but even if you don't, thanks for giving my creations a shot! :)
