English Electric Eightning (EEL) (Jeremy Clarkson) (XM172)

The English Electric Lightning was a British interceptor with a unique two engine layout, with the engines on top of each other instead of beside each other, it’s top speed was around Mach 2.3 and had the very interesting feature of being able to supercruise, which meant it could surpass the sound barrier without using its reheat (afterburner) it was used from the 60s until the 80s when it was replaced by the McDonnell Douglas F4 Phantom, it was truly a marvel of British engineering. (Just my second EEL but a lil better, still has flaps, (Best is around maybe 40%) (Mostly) accurate landing gear and two red top MISSLES (in the right place this time and you can lauch one at a time) super cool right? New things are the airbrake and more accuracy. Anyways apparently Jeremy Clarkson had one, XM172 so thats cool. Anyways i hope you enjoy and please look at the beautiful pictures and give an upvote!
