The Eagle - Orbital Transfer is the Dual Craft variant of my Eagle Model of SSTO / Space Planes. The Eagle - OT is great for single astronaut orbital insertion and reusability! The pod and main eagle are landable and have docking ports.
Check my profile for the others!
It features: detailed cockpits, vacuum and atmosphere engine, full interior view, dual gyros, dual interior cameras, and incredibly fast engines.
It holds 1 pilot in each craft. I have in (each of my Eagle Variants) traveled to, landed on, and orbited every planet and many moons.
INSTRUCTIONS
For best takeoff: Activate APU and Engine/Scramjet/Pod Engine to 30% and set gyro pitch progressively higher at 150m/s. Activate scramjets for hypersonic flight.
For best landing (atmosphere) deorbit and slow to a 45 degree entry, set your pitch perpendicular to your direction. Enable parachutes through stages and continue holding pitch perpendicular. This will airbrake the craft enough for parachutes to deploy. The 4 wings on the bottom are the skids, they will not break. The gear has suspension to bring the craft down onto the skids safely.
The AG 2 enables the takeoff engines, scram jet engines are more efficient in atmosphere. There is a solar panel for long distance recharging, as well as a small RTG. Disable APU to preserve battery in deep space. RCS can be disabled in vacuum, the gyroscope is powerful enough to maneuver.
CREDITS
My Eagle Variants are based on FME's "Sagittarius"
Everything except for the shape of the center fuselage and pod was modified by me, including engines, staging, AG, cargo bay, cockpits, wings, colors, and physics changes.
ENJOY!
