The Corsair is The first aircraft uploaded to the Simpleplanes website. For the longest time, noone knew who made it until Philip Tarpley, one of the developers, came out as the creator.

Based on the F4U corsair it featured some interesting differences to the layout of the F4U, because of Simpleplanes physics, and the limit of parts availble.

I kept the fuselage as close tothe shape of the F4U as I could while keeping the part count the same. However the wings and tail are based on Tarpley's model. I also did some trickery to make a good looking low count engine.

when taking off, slowly ease in the throttle until 50%, giving 50% up elevator.
after the tail raises off the ground, slowly increase throttle to 65%. do not use any more throttle until after take-off.

Oh one more thing. THIS PLANE WILL FIGHT YOU ALL THE WAY DOWN THE RUNWAY!!!
you have to stay on the rudder.
