Starting all the way back into the Cold War, security measures of SFA wanted a cheap, quick response weapon other than an ICBM. When the OODV was created by SFA Aeronautics Division, their hopes were revived and following approval, a station was being built and completed on 20[ REDACTED ] with five (5) active models ready to go into space. With the extreme capabilities and destructive potential of the project, the whole operation was kept secret until WW3 occurred and wanting Home Base Alpha, and subsequent country occupied safe from any possible strike, the station became public.

Based on Project THOR, the station is a Kinetic Energy weapon holding 12 tungsten-alloy rods of 20 meters x 1.5 meters x 1.5 meters weighing over 16,000kg capable of a theoretical 5 x 10^11 joules of energy on impact, putting it close but still below from the Little Boy dropped on Hiroshima. Each rod is also equipped with a short burst Solid Rocket Motor to quickly detach from the station and be on its way to the target. Each station is always accompanied by a supporting satellite near it for communications and command. In the event of running out of monopropellant, the support satellite can dock with the station for a redundancy option.

Logistics wise, the hardest part to do was to get the whole thing into space. So far, only one station on MEO was put into service, with the other four scheduled after an all clear is signaled. Reloading the station is relatively cheap as the tungsten-alloy rods are recycled, and is docked on top of the station to be reattached again. As Overseer # 2 said, “the most spectacular reload I’ve ever witnessed”.

Depending on the situation, an operative might call a strike on their location, thus a single orange colored flare with an in-built transmitter can be fired to the sky, the supporting satellite can automatically launch three (3) Emergency Tactical Strike to the launch point of the flare.
