One area we will focus our technology development on is finding and using local resources in space to help us extend our reach. We will send new instruments to help us find and test capabilities to extract resources like water to produce new materials.

Our calling is to go farther into the solar system than ever before. To prepare for Mars we must study and prove new human deep space capabilities on our Moon.

Lunar Outpost Around the Moon

The Gateway is an outpost around the Moon to support human and scientific exploration in deep space. Built with commercial and international partners, the Gateway is critical to sustainable lunar exploration and will serve as a model for future missions to Mars.
