腾云工程计划中的空天往返飞行器是可执行航天发射任务，并多次重复使用的新一代天地往返飞行器，也可称为空天飞机，其由宽域飞行器与二级入轨飞行器组成，它可在地面机场水平起飞，在大气层中飞行后进入太空，这种飞行器具有廉价、安全、便捷、机动等优势。
其一级飞行器采用双模态超燃冲压发动机与涡扇发动机组合推进，其中双模态超燃冲压发动机，可以使一级极速达到七马赫。
其含两个改进版：亚轨道运输型与高轨道载货型，本次发布的型号为低轨道货运型。
推存一、二级飞船分离速度为7~10马赫，高度为4~5万米。分离时应以较小的俯仰角飞行。飞行器超过1.5万米后应启用冲压发动机并关闭涡扇发动机，高度超过2万米将应将发动机功率调到50%以避免飞行器失控。
The aerospace plane in the Tengyun Project is a new generation of space transportation vehicle capable of performing space launch missions and being reusable multiple times, also known as a space shuttle. It consists of a wide-domain flight vehicle and a second-stage orbital entry vehicle, which can take off horizontally from a ground airport, fly through the atmosphere, and then enter space. This vehicle has advantages such as low cost, safety, convenience, and maneuverability.
The first-stage vehicle uses a dual-mode scramjet engine combined with a turbofan engine for propulsion. The dual-mode scramjet engine can enable the first stage to reach a maximum speed of seven times the speed of sound.
It includes two improved versions: suborbital transport type and high-orbit cargo type. The model released this time is the low-orbit cargo type.
The recommended separation speed for the first and second stages is 7 to 10 times the speed of sound, with a separation altitude of 4 to 50,000 meters. The separation should be performed with a small pitch angle. After the flight vehicle exceeds 15,000 meters in altitude, the scramjet engine should be activated and the turbofan engine should be shut down. When the altitude exceeds 20,000 meters, the engine power should be adjusted to 50% to prevent the flight vehicle from losing control.
