Description:
METEOR-M 2 is a constellation of Russian Earth-observing, meteorological satellites. The satellites orbit at near-polar, sun-synchronous orbits, which means that they fly over (and image) the entire surface of Earth.
The satellites transmit at an open, publicly available frequency. Here's a snippet of a picture I received directly from the satellite during sunset:
Controls:
When in orbit, use AG9 to deploy the panels. I am not including the "Replica" tag, as the panels I used are very far from the real thing (compare the second screenshot with this image), however I wanted to preserve the sun-tracking capabilities. I am not yet decided whether or not I should include realistic but non-functional panels, or unrealistic but functional ones.
It is possible that I will rework this satellite with realistic panels.
