This craft fulfills any of the Sample Collection contracts quickly and inexpensively. This is an excellent source of quick funds mid game.
Features/Instructions:
- Craft has two modes: jet and quadcopter, and will switch back and forth throughout the contract fulfillment depending on the situation.
- Launch the craft from any runway (Juno, Ali, DSC)
- The craft will immediately begin takeoff and gaining altitude toward the first target
- Cruise height: 30km | Cruise speed: 711m/s
- During the cruise phase, up to 10x fast forward may be used. At 10x, average time to reach sample collection area is 1-3 minutes
- After reaching within 5km of first sample collection point, craft will switch to quadcopter mode for fine control
- After reaching within 100m of first sample collection point, game will pause and request user to manually select the next sample collection point, or unpause to land the craft for recovery
- The craft will gain altitude before switching back to jet mode for sample collection points that are >5km away
- Typical recovery amounts after contract completion are $150-250k
- Manual mode may be activated by disabling AG1, but this is not recommended

@CGC yeah I tried everything I could to stick with jet only but some of the sample collection points required more mobility. I thought about a detachable quad but then some of the sample collection points are super far from each other. Only the plus side, I have yet to find a contract that this one won't complete automatically. Let me know if you have any issues!
