It doesn't float because it's just a chip, the fuselage is just aesthetic, so you can have a smooth boat and just care about making it float and the top, reducing substantially the part count.
Of course this is xml edited, be careful tweaking the files if you don't fully understand what you're doing. I highly recommend using overload to tweak to top and bottom sizes to whatever you need.

If you don't need it to be hollow and you want to get rid of the visual glitch, try using the same proportions and corner radiuses on a nosecone

@Zyvx great! That was the main objective of this craft, many people don't know the huge possibilities with the shape tool and some of the meshes available. The jet engine shroud style is very useful too.

@Zyvx thanks!. This is what I usually use for cockpits, although with nosecones so it's transparent from inside and opaque from outside

This is neat, I tried a cargo bay and shaped it like this to see what you did, yet cargo part options don't show on yours. This boat of yours brings me an idea from simple planes, we need hollow fuselage, and then I pictured your boat upside down and transparent, it could be a cockpit canopy. If we had hollow fuselage with transparency paint options, we could have windows the Astronaut won't float through.

@PrinceZuko they are in meters. btw, if you have access to the pc version you should try overload, it's a great way to have fuselages with out of range dimensions

@pedro16797 that would be great, currently I'm building the deck and superstructure of the ship separate from the 1 piece hull, and if I could make the hull piece a subassembly, that would be very helpful
