Single-stage interstellar vehicle, capable of 3.3% of c top speed, intended for use in sub-light interstellar travel.
The Bussard Ramjet is a theoretical propulsion system that magnetically scoops H2 from the interstellar medium and compresses it when above a certain threshold velocity. The concept is praised for its ingenious workaround to the rocket equation. However, the vehicle's top speed is limited to numerous factors, such as the drag produced by the magnetic scoop and the engine's exhaust velocity. The ramjet's velocity can never exceed its exhaust velocity.
The vehicle has an auxiliary propulsion system, two interstellar-grade nuclear saltwater rockets, to assist it in reaching the threshold speed required for the ramjet to operate.
The threshold velocity for the ramjet to function is 1,613 km/s! Above this value, when AG1 is enabled, the vehicle will automatically accelerate to its top speed.
To decelerate, the magnetic scoop can be activated. It will decelerate the vehicle down from any speed to 300 km/s

@sacr3dbac0n0 I launched it in space, but I mean I want to go into orbit around other stars

@KERBQ The vehicle should be launched while in space, it is not designed to ascend to orbit.

@sacr3dbac0n0 What is the problem with both AG3 and AG2 being activated and still unable to enter orbit?

@KERBQ To decelerate from interstellar velocities, the magnetic scoop can be activated using AG 3. To decelerate with the magnetic scoop, you must be facing prograde. For more precise maneuvers, the vehicle's secondary NSWR propulsion system should be used (AG 2)
