The MD-600 "SkyDancer", the first of the dancer series, was produced by the independent agency Mikhail Defense Company in request by the Socialist-Republic of Russia in the early 1970's in response to the f-14 Tomcat made by the United Commonwealth in the early 1970's in the height of the cold war.
