After an undisclosed amount of time I have finally made a submarine!
E.S.V Stands for “Extraterrestrial Submersible Vehicle”. Its supposed to be for traveling in liquid on other planets. But Ive only tested it on Droo.
The E.S.V can travel at a top speed of 7 m/s. Unfortunately because of SR2’s water physics, the E.S.V cant keep water out so if Droods were not semi-immortal they would most likely drown. Still I love that you can do stuff like this in a space game.
Controls:
AGS 1Engine start. 2Flood lights. 3Moonpool / Airlock. 4Interior lights.
Slider-1 controls your vertical movement. Slide up to ascend, and down to descend.
Throttle is forward movement. And is activated by an AGS Which means no reverse, but you can turn pretty well so it doesnt really matter.
Theres also cameras in places similar to Subnautica’s “Cyclops” to remind you of all the friendly Reapers : )

Just tested it on the lava of Vulco. It works 👍 Not that any of us had doubts, but it was for science

I add landing gear to all my subs to mitigate striking bottom too hard. I am impressed with you descent/ascent engine for gradually descending to the depths.

You need to go to the Volcanic Water moon of NEBRA. I have been operating submarines there for some time. It’s a cool moon with various active volcanic islands scattered around.
Turn off “Underwater blur” in settings for better visuals.
