Do like you do wen you go to paint but instead of the paint brush click on the Square with arrows on the sides. And there you have it! ;- ) -

@Freeskyareospace a subassembly is a feature that lets you put custom things in your parts. The way you make a subassembly is by grabbing a part (in this case the primary astronaut) and drag it to the top left corner.
